USB Audio Interface
Descrizione
The third-generation Scarlett 18i8 is the perfect audio interface for technicians and producers who need to adapt their recording environment, no matter where they are. It offers eight analog inputs: four mic/line inputs, two high-impedance high-headroom Instrument inputs, and four additional fixed inputs on the back. An optical input allows you to add up to eight channels for larger recording sessions.
With improved AD/DA conversion, your recordings and playback will be clear and detailed up to 24-bit/192kHz, ensuring a perfect mix. The Scarlett 18i8 features four third-generation Scarlett microphone preamps, the best from Focusrite: the optional Air mode recreates the Air effect of the original ISA microphone preamp, giving your vocal or acoustic recordings a brighter, airier sound. A pad on each microphone preamp allows for higher-level signals without clipping. The Scarlett 18i8 also offers two extra line outputs compared to the previous generation and speaker switching technology for dual monitor setups.
Two independent headphone outputs allow both the technician and the artist to monitor during recording sessions, and a pair of virtual loopback inputs allows you to capture a stereo feed from any combination of hardware inputs and software playback channels—simplifying podcasting, live streaming, and sampling. The Scarlett 18i8 is designed for touring use and connects directly to your Mac or PC with a USB cable. It comes with all the necessary software tools to get started: two complete digital audio workstations, Ableton® Live Lite, and Pro Tools First Focusrite Creative Pack; Softube's Time and Tone Bundle; Focusrite's Red Plug-in Suite; and one of four Addictive Keys from XLN Audio.
Focusrite has partnered with Splice to offer third-generation interface owners a free 3-month Splice Sounds subscription by registering a new Splice account. Splice Sounds offers millions of high-quality, royalty-free samples, loops, and presets, with daily new releases from producers, sound designers, and favorite artists. Producers use Splice to create all types of music, including chart-topping pop, Grammy-winning albums, underground mixtapes, and film scores.
